Monarch Caterpillars

I went out on the deck this morning to feed the birds (and an occasional chipmunk, squirrell, turtle and deer) their daily bread and saw 12 of these very large critters crawling quite happily around their new home. They seemed quite content and didn’t mind a photo or two taken, so here is one. I guess this means we’re going to have a nice butterfly season! Taken with a Nikon D800, Nikon 60mm macro lens. — in Johns Creek, Georgia.
