I took this photo at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin, Florida. What a beautiful place! I brought the photo into my iPad and used an app called Inspire Pro to paint it entirely with my finger on the iPad screen. I then emailed it to myself and opened it in Photoshop CS4. I resampled it to 150 DPI and 8 x 10 inches. I added an adjustment layer to deepen the colors and then used Lucis Pro on a separate duplicate layer to add definition and contrast. Here are the results! Printed on an Epson 4800 and enhanced with colored pencil to make a handsome digital original painting!
My wife and I passed this little store on the way to Charleston, South Carolina. This was my first Lucis project in March, 2010. I used PhotoShop layers to create the illustration and LucisArt to enhance the detail. This was printed on watercolor paper with an Epson 4800 printer. The signature is created on a separate layer in PhotoShop.
