Hipstamatic App…amazing!

Please share...
I'm loving the Hipstamatic App for my iPhone. It is so different from other photo/post processing workflows in that there ISN'T any workflow. It's like the old days when you shot a picture and that is what you got...no need to bring the image into any photo software. The App applies a lens (or style) and you select a film.

I paired this Hipstamatic photo with the Typic+ iPhone app to create a screen saver for my iPhone. I actually did the entire image and graphics as I was walking my dog Minnie from a photo I took during the walk. Typic+ created the outer frame and the text. Ok, I did look a bit strange nerding it out along side the road, texting while walking! NOT recommended : )

A sunny morning and 12 large caterpillars greeted me on my deck!

I went out on the deck this morning to feed the birds (and an occasional chipmunk, squirrell, turtle and deer) their daily bread and saw 12 of these very large critters crawling quite happily around their new home. They seemed quite content and didn't mind a photo or two taken, so here is one. I guess this means we're going to have a nice butterfly season! Taken with a Nikon D800, Nikon 60mm macro lens. — in Johns Creek, Georgia.

It got me to thinking…does a butterfly recall being a caterpillar? Does it dwell on its difficult past or keep it’s eyes focused on the next flower it sees…A lesson can be learned from the caterpillar! “If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation! The old things have passed away, behold all things have become new!” 2 Cor. 5:17 – Taken with a Nikon D800, Nikon 60mm macro lens. — in Johns Creek, Georgia.

This photo montage was done for Brandi Williams from her photography from Carlos and Elizabeth’s wedding. It consists of 20+ layers of photos, adjustments and masks! My MacBook Pro Retina never missed a beat with a nearly 1 GB  Photoshop CS6 file to manage! Printed on Epson Archival Watercolor Paper (17″x22″)with an Epson 3880 and shrinkwrapped. What a fun project!

Here is a time lapse of how I made the montage…for best viewing, hit the Full Screen button:
