I’m not real sure why, but Josiah loves my left shoulder. He can be
running 55 mph in all directions at once and when he sees my arms he
says “Papa” with a big grin , holds up those strong 18 month old arms
and prepares for a launch from the floor to an elevation of about 5
feet corresponding to the approximate height parallel to the floor of
my left shoulder. His little head immediately lands sideways on my
flat shoulder top, he’ll grin slightly, then I give him a kiss and
firm hug and push his head into a “nap” position and start to pat his back. He utters a quiet “Papa” and is still for, oh, maybe 5 seconds!
